Who We Are
At MisionEmpleo, we're about people connecting with people. We love gaming and we know that we need work to provide for our families and fund our hobbies. People have routinely expressed being ghosted, encountering fake job ads, or even feeling like there's no point in applying for a position with dozens of other candidates. To make it worse, certain platforms only seem to focus on a particular industry. How are we supposed to find jobs when certain platforms focus on tech jobs and even then they require 10+ years of experience, a degree, and a handful of certifications. What's more, some platforms have become social media platforms that congest the search for jobs by posting things that don't help or relate to networking or job hunting, or certain industries are highlighted at the expense of others.
Although various belief systems, faiths, and demographics stand by their beliefs, we as MisionEmpleo believe there's a time and place for everything. We understand that many are trying to be hopeful in the midst of feeling hopelessness. We've been there too, especially when finding a job seems to be the hardest thing out there and bills keep coming due. We want people to be real, network, and connect. We're not saying we don't want people to connect via what they have in common, but we want to learn from the failures, derailment, and blandness of other platforms to create something unique.
We built MisionEmpleo to be that platform that can allow many people of various niches, cliques, commonalities, and even belief systems to be able to meet up, chat, and network. While the name implies a heavy emphasis on gaming, non-gamers are just as welcome. Some might only play Solitaire and dominoes while others are esports competitors. Others think video games are a waste of time. That's okay! Do you know what we all have in common? We're humans trying to get through life.
With that said, it's important to understand what MisionEmpleo is not. We are not a recruiting service, a job placement service, or a representative of any particular employer, corporation, or business entity. We make no promises that people will find a job. We can't promise what we have no control over.

We might not agree on the same things or even have the same struggles, but we're still people and ought to respect each other as such.
Many platforms push for networking to such an extent that people treat engagement like a numbers game. We're not like that. Engagement is necessary and staying mute won't help, but it's clear when someone is treating a community like a pool of potential social media followers.
We want to have fun! While the job hunt can be daunting and bills overwhelming, we believe that sometimes having a little bit of fun keeps despair at bay and reminds us to act like human beings.
